Blessed Souls,

Today is Anant Chaturdashi Day. As we all know Lord Ganesha’s important festival is Ganesha Chathurthi  which is for celebrating the birth of Lord Sri Ganesha – the destroyer of all obstacles and the one who guarantees success in all our ventures.

On Ganesh Chaturthi we install  Lord Ganesha’s idol in our house and He is worshipped with great devotion.

We do Puja to the idol for 10 days and on the day of Anant Chathurthi we immerse it in a water body. Anant Chaturdashi, the 11th day of the Ganesha festival and is the most significant day for Ganesha Visarjan or Nimajjanam (which means Immersion). On this day we worship Lord Vishnu in his eternal form – Anant (which means endless).

Let us all unite and immerse ourselves in Bhakti and derive endless benefits by the grace of Lord Mahavishnu and Lord Ganesha.
