Sri Vayalil Kurumba Bhagawathi Kshetram (Moonnunirathu, Azhikode) observed Trikarthika festivities as it is the birthday of The Divine Mother. Trikarthika is celebrated by lighting plenty of lamps all around the place symbolising the divine light that dispels all darkness. Swamiji inaugurated the programme and lit the Trikarthika lamp in the temple and He was followed by all the Temple Trustees, officials and devotees and the whole temple was resplendent with numerous lamps lit by all of them.
Light symbolises wisdom and prosperity. Whoever worships the Divine power on this auspicious day and lights the lamp, will be blessed by the Goddess and all their sorrows will be wiped away. There will be peace, happiness and prosperity all around.
