Blessed Souls,

On this blessed day of Vijayadashami I pray for the peace, prosperity,  happiness and well being of all you.
For the last nine days, people across the globe have worshipped the Divine Goddess, Mother of the Universe, in various ways to the best of their abilities. From little children to the aged have observed spiritual rituals for attaining the love and blessings of Mother Lalitambika.

Today is the final day of the Navaratri festivities and it symbolises the slaying of Mahishasura by Devi. Devi is the source of Universal Power. She is Shakti. Praying to her will grant us with Power, Wisdom and Wealth. She is the All – Fulfilling Great Mother. Even Lord Rama prayed to her for 9 days to please her and get her blessings so that He can overpower the demon Ravana. It is to commemorate this victory of good over evil that we take part in Navaratri worship.

The good and bad reside within us. Devas and Asuras are the inherent qualities within us. Love, wisdom, compassion, truth etc are the good qualities. Hatred, jealousy, violence, arrogance, our ego etc indicates the Ravana within us. By following the spiritual path and rituals in this auspicious Navaratri period, we are actually cleaning and purifying ourselves by making our good qualities overpower our bad qualities. The real victory comes when we acquire wisdom through our spiritual association with our Guru and Holy books which will illuminate our lives and drive the darkness away. An illumined soul can help to illuminate the paths of others.
So I pray to Goddess Jagadamba to accept all your worship and devotion and grant you happiness, prosperity, wisdom and peace in your lives.

Today children from different parts of the world have worshipped Goddess Saraswati after observing fasting and offering their books on the Divine Feet of Goddess so that She may bless them and shower wisdom on them. Many little ones are being initiated into learning today. I pray for all of them to get Mata Saraswati’s loving grace and mercy. May they reach heights of wisdom and May they ever prosper and flourish!

May you all be brimming with love and goodness and may you all help to radiate love, peace and light all around.
